Are my hotel accommodations set?
If you were granted travel support through MTSD, we have added your name & dates to the master reservation list for the College Park Marriott Hotel & Conference Center. Rooms are private; not shared by anyone other than family members you indicated were traveling with you. You will be able to store luggage with the hotel bell staff, if needed. Parking at the Marriott is free.
Confirmation numbers will be sent via email at a later date. You will be required to provide a credit card for incidentals at the time of check-in.

How can I best prepare to participate at the meeting?
There are a few things you can do ahead of time to be ready to contribute your experience and expectations!
PLEASE NOTE: The meeting will be webcast live via the internet. If you don't wish to be "viewable" as a participant, there will be tables designated in the room that the camera operators will be asked not to film. Please speak with a member of the project team on-site if you are unsure when you arrive.
- Review the meeting agenda: Become familiar with the flow, especially the discussion questions. Think about how you might answer these and make a few notes for yourself. Click here to view the agenda.
- Review the meeting purpose: Patient-focused drug development (PFDD) is a relatively new topic. Click here to review a description of PFDD.
- Drop by the "More Than Skin Deep" Facebook group: If you're on Facebook, drop by and meet fellow attendees. Click here to visit.
- View (or re-view!) the Sept. 13 "Participant Preparation" webinar: You'll learn about the purpose of the meeting, the format, and how you can get ready to make an impact! Click here to view the recording.

What should I wear?
We recommend "business casual" attire so that you are comfortable, but look professional. The hotel is set on a campus-like property; wear comfortable shoes as it may be a bit of a walk from your room to meeting!
The temperature in hotel conference rooms can be hard to regulate, so dressing in layers with a sweater or jacket may also provide options if it gets too warm or too cold throughout the day. Average temperatures in September for the D.C. area hover around 71 degrees, but it can be much warmer -- into the 90s -- or much cooler, dropping into the 50s.

I have special dietary needs; how do I let planners know?
If you or a member of your family participating in the meeting (or being cared for by our professional child care services) have special dietary needs or restrictions, please contact us at [email protected].
